Chapter 4: Cosmetics, Perfume, and Personal Hygiene
Since makeup is considered a need, not a want, it’s generally expensive. Fortunately competition in this industry is especially fierce, so free samples are not generally a problem.
As well as the next few opportunities, check out your favorite brands on Facebook and other social media sites. Liking them sometimes gives you first dibs on freebies and other promos. Going to stores where they operate is another great way to get free samples and even free makeovers.
If it’s fragrances you’re after, the same applies.
1. FOR WOMEN
While SEPHORA specializes in cosmetics for women, they also carry some products for men. Joining their Beauty Insider entitles you to several freebies. On your birthday, you get their Rouge Artist Natural Lipstick and Smoky Extravagant Mascara. If there’s a SEPHORA branch or event near you, make your way over. They’re very generous with their samples, as well as free makeovers and classes.
Allure Magazine is especially great for cosmetic freebies and other stuff, even though they don’t actually make them. Allure doesn’t skimp. If you’re used to getting those tiny sample kits that’s good for only one or two uses, this magazine will surprise and delight you. They give you the entire kit!
Besides makeup, they also offer perfumes, scarves, and other accessories, sometimes before those even hit the shelves. For more info, check out their Free Samples page by clicking here.
Moving away from the face to the more intimate parts, RepHresh is offering free samples, so long as you’re in the continental US. To get it, make your way to their promo page.
2. FOR MEN
As of August 2014, Lacoste has a new L!VE Fragrance and they even have a raffle for a free trip to Barcelona, Spain to promote it. For a free sample, and a chance at Spain, check out their website or visit their Facebook page.
If Hugo is more your thing, get your free sample of Hugo Boss Cologne by filling in your details. Depending on your location, you might even be entitled to free shipping.
